Red Nose Day Goes International

From Iceland to South Africa, events based on red nose day, have happened EVERYWHERE. Many people all over the world have done something funny for money and have raised a massive amount of £75,107,851!  One of Grey Court’s staff Mr Holden quoted “I think that the world has raised enough considering that they raise almost the same amount every year”, also one of the Grey Court students Frankie “thought it was a big success”. Many countries, such as: Canada, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Norway, South Africa, USA and many more countries all raised lots of money for comic relief.

Stephen Fry Kicked off this amazing event with This Is Sport Relief, a specially made documentary to introduce the UK event to the global audience. Many people got involved with fun runs, cook offs, sponsored silences etc.

They had many star presenters, such as: Jonathan Ross, Lenny Henry, Graham Norton, Michael McIntyre, Davina McCall, Alan Carr and many more famous celebrities.
